This website, known as Venturing Crew 61's online "Base Camp," is the trail head in Crew 61 information and communication. Almost everything that you would need to know about our crew can be found somewhere in the pages of this website.

Venturing is a youth development program that was created by the Boy Scouts of America in 1998 for young men and women from 14-20 years of age. The purpose of the program is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become caring adults. Crew 61 is a co-ed group based in Dyersville, Iowa with youth members from the surrounding areas.

The Photo Albums pages are definitely a must see. There are now several hundred spectacular images of the crew in action. Some from local trips to some of our more incredible adventures with spectacular photography taken by our members and advisors. 

Our Calendar of Events and important crew information. Here you will find basic event information about upcoming events. More detailed event information about specific activities is available in the Crew 61 Restricted Access area.

Of course how could you not be curious about our favorite mascot, the traveling can of SPAM. Yeah.. it goes everywhere and does it all. Check out the bio page as well as the "Adventures with SPAM" photo album in the gallery of our someday-to-be-famous can of SPAM.

The Crew 61 password protected area (AREA 61) of this site is a huge resource for members of our crew. Loaded with tons of information about Venturing activities, crew member contact information, crew meeting minutes and exclusive crew member chat /messageboard. The Crew Advisor will sets up the log-in access and supplies each crew member with their log-in credentials.
